The Habagat Week

Cainta flooded

I thought it will be pretty much deja vu of what we experienced during Ondoy 2009.  Classes were suspended on Monday.  Come Tuesday,  miraculously, Bank suspends work, there were floods.. but still  no storm.

We started worrying Wedenesday because there was work, yet the flood waters in our village were rising. We already transferred our vehicles the day before and the things and stuff in our sala to the second floor.  All we could do now was hope for the waters not to come in.

Thankfully the waters didn't come even until Thursday afternoon, that's when the waters started to recede.  Some say the floodway was opened.  Some say we prevented it by anticipating what to do should the waters rush in. Were we prepared this time?  My family and I were, except for bottled water.

So we went back to putting our things and appliances back together.  It was a chance to finally dust some of the books.  Best thing was, the whole family bonding time since we were 'trapped' at home.   Second best thing that happened?  I was out of the office for a whole week! :)
