Today is the end of a weeklong trimestrals for Busy Boy. I pray that he did well, especially in Math. No, he's not failing the subject but he's not doing excellent for an Advanced class either.
For the last 3 years, I take a day off with my son every last day of exams. I make him choose where we will go, where to eat and what to do for a whole day (at least until I get tired :) ). It may seem like an ordinary thing anyone does on weekends but with the way I push him hard during these 4 days, I want to make the last day of exams always seem to be more memorable and happier if Busy Boy end it with something that he likes to do.
For starters, we had a great lunch at Choi Garden again. Since its nearest to Dad's office and right smack in Greenhills and its becoming one of our favorite places to eat.

While waiting for our orders |
Then we had a quick visit to Dad's office just across the street... They were in the middle of transferring rooms. I was envious of Dad's almost U shaped table..

Goofing off at the lobby |
Then it was off to the movies, the main event for the afternoon. We watched at Shang Cineplex.

Mom we HAVE to watch it, please? |
Since we had to wait for Dad to get off at 5pm, we whiled the time away at Shang's 3 bookstores. Browsing, browsing and finally purchasing some new books. Auntie got a good deal with the sale books over at FB and Busy Boy got his last 2 Captain Underpants books which were also on sale. Whoopee! We finally got tired walking around so we just waited at the White Hat for another yogurt snack.

Tired actually |
All of these treats may seem one sided but in the end, we got the biggest treat of all. I got a huge hug from Busy Boy just before dozing off as thanks. Nice to know all of it was well appreciated.
More of these after the 2nd trim exams in December! :)
