I kinda promised myself that in this new blog, I will not post much about work - rant or otherwise, unlike in my previous blog. I will limit to posts on exceptional achievements, and happy moments. Today, I'd like to give myself a pat on the back for reaching a career milestone. As in, it is the first and only time ever it will happen as I plan never to work hard to reach this again.
For May 2012, I truly hit a whopping, ground breaking amount, in millions. Not bad, eh? Considering I was done with my target mid-month, I still had to work due to developer commitments. Otherwise, I would've stopped earlier and reserved some for June.
So what did I get? Nothing from Management, that's for sure and just a wow reaction from my colleagues. Was I expecting a big thank you? Not really. I was fine.. I didn't even want it broadcast to the others. But on hindsight, I thought I would be getting more than the usual single doughnut treat.
Well I know what I did.. and so do my team, my department and my boss. I didn't even blurt it to my family, except our driver Tito J. It was actually a no biggie and highly unlikely to be repeated. But something to remember, nonetheless. :)
