Rediscovering Mail

I have read about it from my mommyblogger friends.  I’ve learned about it last February but I only joined last 28 September.
The goal of this project is to allow people to receive postcards from all over the world.  The main idea is that: if you send a postcard, you will receive one back from a random Postcrosser from somewhere in the world.

In this age of technology, skype and email, of twitter and facebook, I was asked why by a few friends.  It seems purely an expense to purchase cards and stamps.
At first I wanted to enroll Busy Boy.  Simply so he’d know what receiving a real mail is. The site explains the various types of postcrossers out there.  There are those who like to receive postcards of any description, where the message is as important as any picture.  There are the collectors of quantity and stamps, or of particular themes - country map (state maps if from the US) flowers, food and beverages, buildings and landmarks.   The majority maybe just like me, to see places around the world in countries they might not have the chance to visit yet or.. even ever.
What I like about it is it is random.  You never know what you’re going find in your mail.  Its exciting and enhances the virtue of patience.
Will post about my cards soon..

Busy Boy joined the site! :) And he's excited to get some cards.  Unfortunately, his timing is off, being the Christmas season, the cards may be delayed due to the bulk.
