Stormy Buffet Treat

Last Tuesday, when Pedring was in town,  Busy Boy got a respite from all the tests they were having while Dad’s office declared no work. Unfortunately, only our Bank had no care whatsoever to the fate of its employees, was not calling off work.
So I went half day instead. :)
My boys picked me up and we had lunch at Yakimix Podium.  Earlier that week, I was hyping about this restaurant so much, Dad must have decided to try it and end my endless chatter. :) Plus Busy Boy’s favorite tempura was so good.
Being a weekday and stormy day at that, lunch hour was pretty light and we got to choose our seats - quite near the buffet table.  Its an expensive looking restaurant with nice lamps.
Dad as usual went straight for the food to be grilled while I led Busy Boy to the cooked dishes. Daddy has a knack for preparing great marinades and his grilled food were yummy!
It was my boys’ first time while it was my second (in 2 weeks) so I kinda knew what to get.  There was simply a lot of food to choose from and every imaginable pork, beef, chicken, seafood, rice, noodles, cakes and ice cream were there.
Busy Boy’s choices were limited to tempura and cold cuts but it was good thing. We ate what Busy Boy couldn’t finish because leftovers were charged.
I was so full that day I ate the following morning already. That’s what a trip to this restaurant can mean.  Unsolicited advice - their tempura are the best and it can be gone in 15 seconds.  You’d need to wait for 10-15 minutes before they can refill the serving platter.
Yakimix is open for birthdays and catering.. hmm… would love to treat my whole family here. :)
